Micah Plath reveals he’s off the market during the Welcome to Plathville season 8 premiere, following a messy split from Veronica Peters.

“After I broke up with Veronica, I knew I needed to make a change,” Micah, 25, confessed during the Tuesday, March 31, premiere of the TLC series.

Micah — the second oldest son of Kim Plath and Barry Plath — noted that not only did he have his own place in Florida, he had moved on romantically.

“I met a pretty incredible girl and we are doing great and we are happy,” Micah said, confirming that he and his new girlfriend are “keeping things somewhat private, you know, kind of evaluating everything that's happened over the last couple years.”

“I don't think I was on the path for what I wanted and I'm going to switch things up a little bit and just chase a peaceful life,” he added.

Micah’s comments about keeping his love life private come after his tumultuous relationship with Veronica crashed and burned on season 7 of the TLC series.

After keeping Veronica out of the spotlight to start their romance, Micah introduced her to fans during season 6 of the series in 2024.

During one episode, Micah went ring shopping with Veronica — whom he lived with in Florida — and hinted that she was The One. (For the uninitiated, he bought her a cocktail ring, not an engagement ring.)

“Ever since I moved in with Veronica, I think in both of our minds, even with it unsaid, marriage is on the table,” he said at the time.

During season 7 of the series, viewers saw a different side to their relationship. The couple butted heads over Micah’s family, with Veronica claiming that his mom, Kim, wanted her to put his name on the title of their house — even though he didn’t buy it.

“We’re not married,” Veronica claimed during an August 2025 episode, which filmed earlier that year. “I’m not a Plath.”

Veronica and Micah also argued over trust issues after she revealed that he had cheated on her early on in their relationship. Micah confessed to having an affair during an August 2025 episode, saying he was “so grateful” Veronica gave him another chance.

During the season finale — which was filmed over Lydia Plath and Zac Wyse’s wedding weekend in February 2025 — Veronica and Micah had a massive argument as she continued to distance herself from his loved ones.

“So, they did it. They broke me,” Veronica said in a July 2025 Instagram video, seemingly referring to the Plath family and confirming that she and Micah had broken up after a “violent wedding” was filmed for the show.

She claimed that there were “threats, violence and barbaric behavior” at the event, and that she was “in danger several times.”

Us Weekly reached out to TLC at the time for comment and the show shed a little more light on Veronica’s allegations during the September 2025 finale.

The scary behavior that Veronica was referring to appeared to be a fight between Micah and his brother Isaac Plath following their sister’s wedding. Micah had to go to the hospital to get his nose looked at after the physical altercation, but he didn’t hold a grudge against Issac, 20.

Instead, Micah broke up with Veronica the next day in front of his family and told her he would move out when he returned to Florida.
