Vin Dieselās post about fellow actor Michael Caine sparked major buzz, but not in the way intended.
The Fast and the Furious star and the legendary British star have maintained a long-standing friendship that spans more than 30 years.
Having shared decades of genuine connection, the 58-year-old actor spoke about his true feelings toward Caine and their bond that feels more like family than friendship.
In a moving post on Instagram, Diesel mentioned their appearance at the Red Sea International Film Festival in Saudi Arabia, where The King of Thieves star accepted his Lifetime Achievement Award on stage together with his three grandkids.

āThe world saw me hand you a Lifetime Achievement Award this week. Your wife, daughters and grandchildren watching. What they didnāt see was everything else,ā he wrote, along with a candid picture of them.
He continued the lengthy message by recalling how their friendship started at the peak of Dieselās career.
āWhen we first met, I was drowning in a fame I never learned to carry. You taught me grace. Resolve. How to stand in my light when I didnāt know how,ā he added.
Diesel also mentioned a heartbreaking moment when he lost a friend and co-star, Paul Walker, who died in a car accident in 2013, and how Caine helped him recover.
āTwelve years ago, I lost someone I was not ready to lose⦠that the world was not ready to lose. You were there⦠not with words, but with purpose. You allowed me to play Kaulder. When mortality had its grip on my life, you brought immortality. The Last Witch Hunter wasnāt just a film; it was my resurrection.
Apart from that, Diesel also mentioned how his loving family embraced him and treated him as one of their own.
āWhenever Iām at your house, I notice the walls. Only photographs of family. Not legends or movies, just family. That is not simplicity. That is a declaration. And once, in a room full of Nolan, Poitier and Hollywood royalty, you stood and introduced me as your son. Powerful moment,ā he added.
Concluding his moving message, the Guardians of the Galaxy star highlighted the journey they shared and the lasting impact of Caine on his life.
āWeāre just two kids from nothing, dreamers who became something. You said I speak to the world, but Michael⦠you speak to eternity. I love you. Forever,ā he wrote.

While the post itself was emotional and moving, the reaction online quickly spiraled into a wave of panic.
Some were worried that the post was meant as a memorial for the iconic actor.
āBro, you scared me for a second,ā one wrote.
āThis made me think he was dead,ā a second user commented.
A follower also thought the same and noted, āAnyone else panic and Google to make sure Sir Michael Caine was still alive?ā
āJesus Christ, Vin, I was scared for a second,ā a commenter echoed.
The same goes for another who mentioned, āMan, I just woke up and I thought we lost him. Scared the sāt out of me.ā
Aside from their joint appearance at the International Film Festival, fans will see more of them as they reprise their roles inThe Last Witch Hunter 2, scheduled for release in 2026.
