Usher fans are in shambles after the singer abruptly stopped a steamy onstage moment with a fan who refused to be seduced by his dance moves.
In each of his performances on The R&B Tour with Chris Brown, the 47-year-old singer chooses a fan in the audience to bring onstage for a sexy serenade during his song āCan U Handle It?ā
But the move did not go according to plan at Usherās show in Nashville, as seen in a now-viral video from Saturdayās performance.
A woman from the crowd was pulled to the stage to sit on a bed while a shirtless Usher sang to her. However, as he began to get close to her face, the woman was visibly uncomfortable and sat stiff as he tried to touch her face and chin.
Usher paused and looked at the audience in disbelief before pulling away from the woman, saying, āI donāt think she want to be on the stage, huh?ā
The āYeah!ā singer then gestured and the woman was escorted off the stage as the crowd went wild.
As video of the awkward interaction went viral on social media, fans were divided as some became furious that the woman agreed to go on stage in the first place.
āWhy didnāt you just say no thank you?ā one person wrote on her Instagram. Another complained, āIt's a show. She wasted people's time and energy.ā

Another person wrote on X, āWhy did she agree to go up? What was she hoping to happen?ā
The fan defended her decision in a post on Facebook, saying, āFirst off NOBODY is declining to go on stage.ā
āI looked good... you thought I wasnāt gonna let THOUSANDS of people see me ??ā she wrote. āOn the big screen, where you bitches will never be ????ā

She went on to say that she and her mom had floor seats to the concert at Nissan Stadium, writing, āTheir team approached us and moved us to VIP before the show even started !!ā which she attributed to āpretty privileges.ā
āThey donāt say who youāre going up there for,ā she added. She said in a separate post that she had hoped to be taken onstage by Brown.
On Instagram, she continued, āMy attitude isnāt ānastyā until Iām provoked !! Yall arenāt gonna get on the internet calling me out my name and disrespecting me ad expect me to keep it cool !
āYall donāt know me in real life ! Iām quiet and keep to myself but donāt think that yall are gonna bully me about an EXPERIENCE that yall didnāt get !!ā
Usher has not commented on the interaction, and his representative has not returned The Independentās request for comment. The singerās co-headlining tour ends December 11 in Tampa, Florida.
