Over the last 21 years, uniform colors and Super Bowl winners have enough correlation to make one superstitious – or at least a little stitious.
Sixteen of the last 21 Super Bowl winners were wearing their white jerseys en route to a Lombardi Trophy, according to ESPN researcher Evan Kaplan. In the last 10 years, the only teams to win a championship wearing a different color were the teams competing in last year's Super Bowl: the Eagles (in Super Bowls 52 and 59) and the Chiefs (in Super Bowls 54 and 58).
That trend has not excluded this year's Super Bowl teams: the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots. The last time the Patriots won the Super Bowl, they were wearing white. The same is true for the Seahawks. In the two teams' last head-to-head championship clash, Seattle lost Super Bowl 49 to New England, when the Seahawks were wearing blue jerseys and the Patriots were wearing white.
Here's what to know about the colors each team will wear in their Super Bowl 60 uniforms:

Each year, the Super Bowl is played at a neutral site. The "home" team alternates yearly between the AFC and NFC champions. The "home" team – this year, that's the Patriots – gets to decide the jersey they'll wear first, while the away team gets to call the coin toss before the game.
New England elected to wear its white (away) jerseys with white pants in Super Bowl 60, the team announced on Jan. 29 The Patriots wore their white jerseys in their last Super Bowl appearance (and win) eight years ago, but they wore blue pants.

The Seahawks announced that they will wear their navy jerseys over navy pants in Super Bowl 60, a uniform combination Seattle usually wears in home games. It's also the same uniforms the Seahawks wore the two times they went to the Super Bowl and lost.

The uniform combination between the two teams in this year's Super Bowl is the same as it was 11 years ago in Super Bowl 49, with the lone tweak being the Patriots' decision to wear white pants instead of navy. New England won Super Bowl 49, 28-24.
