Last week, Post Malone sparked excitement by teasing a return to his rap roots with an unreleased hip hop snippet on social media, following his successful country music era.
On July 16, Post Malone shared a clip on Instagram and X and captioned the post, "That one mofo that don't know when to leave..." In the video, the 31-year-old artist was seen wearing a cowboy hat, chugging a Bud Light, and dragging a cigarette while a song played in the background that sounded reminiscent of his early rap records.
This sneak peek follows his recent country era and is tied to his upcoming 40-song double album, The Eternal Buzz. This comes as Post Malone's net worth was revealed as he was hand-picked to perform at this year's Stagecoach Festival.

Now, one music PR expert has weighed in on the sharp pivot from country music, sharing his thoughts on the potential success of the forthcoming album. In an exclusive interview with The Express US, Robert Bradley from Bradley PR + Marketing said, "Post Malone knows exactly what he's doing."
He continued, "In his recent Instagram clip, he's teasing a really cool return to his musical roots while staying 100% on brand with his cowboy look and laid-back swagger. I'm sure the clip caught millions off guard, sparking surprise reactions and getting Posty fans excited for what's next."
Post Malone has released one official full-length country studio album titled 'F-1 Trillion' which featured a number of hit songs including I Had Some Help, What Don't Belong to Me, Missing You Like This, Guy For That, among many others.

This was a huge transition from his original work after Post Malone had three albums that reached number one on the US Top Rap Albums chart including Stoney (2016), Beerbongs & Bentleys (2018), and Hollywood's Bleeding (2019).
Sharing his two cents on this return to his roots, Bradley said, "Post Malone went all in on his venture into country music and seemed to love every second of it, and I don't think he's going to abandon the genre by any means."
He continued, "Legacy artists over the decades have successfully explored different genres (David Bowie, Beyoncé, Damon Albarn, etc.), and while some artists fail at the attempt, Posty embraced it and was welcomed with open arms by fans across all genres, including country."

While some have speculated that Post Malone fans could be disappointed by the change, Bradley believes that no matter what the artist releases, he will have supporters listening.
The PR expert said, "Whatever new music Post Malone puts out in the near future will no doubt top the charts and end up on everyone's playlists, in stores, on social media, and everywhere else. He's cemented himself as the guy who can do it all, and let's not forget the incredible Nirvana tribute set he put out a few years back."
He continued, "So why not give the fans what they want with some new hip-hop music? Sometimes it's good to step away for a while, because when an artist comes back, it can become the biggest moment of their career."
