*Jury Duty* is back — but court is not in session for season 2.

The second season of the breakout Prime Video hit is stepping away from the courtroom and into the woods for *Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat.* Set to premiere March 20 with three episodes, the documentary-style comedy will once again follow an unsuspecting regular guy who has no idea that he's surrounded by actors and living through a completely fabricated situation.

Instead of reporting for jury duty, like season 1's Ronald Gladden, the new subject believes that he's been hired as a temp for a hot sauce company and is about to relax with his new coworkers on an annual company retreat.

A teaser for the upcoming season reminded fans, "In 2023, we gave you unprecedented access to a jury trial. But that was not a normal trial. It was fake… Now we're following a business on their annual company retreat. Except this is not a real company. It's fake. Everyone involved is an actor. Except Anthony."

Viewers then get their first snippet of Anthony's commentary. Though there's no glimpse of his face or the chaos he's describing, the mysterious new subject gives us a sense of what's in store.

"If I go home and tell my parents about this stuff, they're gonna be like, 'You're lying,'" he says, teasing the insanity to come.

Per the logline, *Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat *"captures a corporate offsite event at a family-owned hot sauce company from the perspective of Anthony, a recently hired temporary worker. Unbeknownst to Anthony, the entire experience is staged, every colleague around him is performing a role, and each moment — whether in conference rooms or during downtime — has been meticulously orchestrated."

So what exactly will Anthony be dealing with? "As the founder prepares to step down, the getaway transforms into a clash between big corporate ambitions and small business values," the synopsis teases. " With control of the company hanging in the balance."

Why 'Jury Duty' star James Marsden worried he had ruined the show

The biggest mystery is how Anthony will react as the story unfolds. In season 1, oblivious San Diego solar contractor Ronald Gladden turned out to be the best sport in the world after discovering that James Marsden (playing himself) and a bunch of unknown actors had been constantly lying to him for the entirety of the 17-day fake trial.

Season 1 was a breakout hit and earned four nods at the 2023 Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Comedy Series and Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for Marsden. The actor confirmed that he and Gladden stayed in touch after wrapping up the show. In fact, they celebrated the show's nominations on the phone together, with lots of yelling.

"I just kind of yelled as loud as I could," Marsden told * *of calling Gladden after the announcement. "It was just gibberish, I don't think I was even speaking English. And he started yelling too. It was just like two drunk college buddies."

He added that despite his role as a narcissistic, entitled Hollywood jerk version of himself, the duo have forged a real friendship.

"I'm always calling him going, 'How're you feeling, man? Are you loving this still? Are you hating it? What's going on?' So I called him and he was just over the moon and so gracious," Marsden shared. "It makes me feel so much better about what we accomplished here, knowing that he's enjoying this ride that we've taken him on."

*Jury Duty'*s second season will debut its first three episodes on March 20, followed by two episodes on March 27, and a three-episode finale on April 3.
