Jennifer Garner and her mother Patricia got the surprise of a lifetime ahead of the holiday season.
The mother-daughter duo were told that they were headed to a photoshoot for KitchenAid, a brand that Garner frequently works with, but ended up being treated to a heartwarming moment. Instead of a regular set, the brand had entirely recreated Garner's childhood kitchen.
In an Instagram video shared by Garner on Sunday (Dec. 7), the actress and her mother could be seen walking through the kitchen and admiring the small details that the set decorators had completely nailed.
"I wasn't expecting it to be so good," Garner admitted in the video while tearing up and later adding that seeing the kitchen again after so many years gave her a "really deep feeling of homesickness and gratitude."

"This is how you know how real it is. I want that to be the den," Garner said while gesturing to a nearby door. "And then I want to hear dad come home from work. That's what I feel. What a privilege to visit your past."
Garner and her mother also reflected on their shared memories in the kitchen, like Patricia making all of their food from scratch, including cookies, pizza and loaves of bread.
"I didn't think it would transport me the way it did," Garner shared of the experience.
This isn't the only moment of nostalgia Garner has experienced recently. Earlier this month, Garner paid a visit to an elementary school in Clay County, West Virginia, a community close to her hometown of Charleston, West Virginia. There, she spent time with students, took part in activities and shared her support for the Save The Children Organization.
