Carlos Alcaraz is far from the only tennis player in his family ā just ask his brothers, Ćlvaro, Sergio and Jaime.
Born in May 2003 to Carlos Alcaraz GonzƔlez and Virginia Garfia Escandon, the back-to-back Wimbledon champion is the second-oldest of four boys.
All of the Alcaraz kids inherited a love of the sport from their father, who was a nationally ranked tennis player in Spain as a teenager and later worked as the tennis director for a club their grandfather had built, per The New York Times.
As Carlos put it in his February 2023 interview with Vogue, he was born "with tennis in [his] blood." It turns out, so were his siblings.
Ćlvaro played competitive doubles, per his ATP profile, and Jaime has been rising up through the competitive tennis circuit, winning a Rafa Nadal Tour event in July 2023. ATP noted that Carlos took home that same trophy.
Sergio prefers soccer and has played for Real Murcia's youth team since 2024, according to Spanish broadcaster Onda Regional. However, he'll play tennis recreationally ā even scoring a point against his pro brother, as seen in a July 2025 clip shared by journalist GermĆ”n R. Abril on X.
Here's everything to know about Carlos Alcaraz's siblings, Ćlvaro, Sergio and Jaime.

Carlos and his brothers had humble roots in El Palmar, Spain, without "big luxuries" growing up, Carlos previously said.
"But the small things make the difference ... [we] had what was necessary," he said at a December 2024 event, per Daily Express. "I was always happy with what I had ... I was passionate about sport and tennis in particular, but it was a very normal childhood. Today we are here, feeling very lucky and grateful."

Carlos told The Times in June 2024 that his older brother was his hitting partner. Nearly two years later, he announced that Ćlvaro would take on a more prominent role on his team following his split with long-time coach Juan Carlos Ferrero.
"My brother is a very important person in my personal and professional life," he told Punto de Break in January 2026. āHe brings me many positive things that I need to perform better on court and in tournaments."
He continued, "Now heās going to take on more prominence ... He knows how we operate and how the tour works, and he knows a lot about tennis. Sometimes he has opinions and a way of seeing things that bring a lot to me."

Though the Grand Slam champ has a close relationship with Ćlvaro, he doesn't take the job of being an older brother to Sergio and Jaime lightly. Because to them, he's "not a big tennis star, just a normal guy."
āI love tennis but I love even more being the older brother of my little ones,ā he told The Times in June 2024. āBeing the role model for them, not as a tennis player but a person. That is the most important thing ā to help them learn about the things that matter in life.ā

The youngest Alcaraz brother is already making a name for himself on the competitive tennis circuit. In July 2023, Jaime won a Rafa Nadal Tour event in Madrid in the under-12 division. Out of 48 players, he finished on top at the junior tennis tournament,
Carlos played in the same tournament seven years prior, winning the under-12 division in 2015 and the under-14 division in 2016. Jaime has also been invited to the IMG Future Stars Invitational Tournament twice, an invitation-only event featuring the 48 best youth male and female tennis players worldwide. Jaime was also spotted on the Wimbledon practice courts with Carlos in 2023.
When asked about his younger brother's burgeoning career in January 2025, Carlos said that he's "supporting him" no matter where he is in the world.
āIām just happy to see my little brother playing those tournaments the same as I played when I was his age," he told reporters, per Tennis.com. "Iām just trying to support him, being supportive for him, trying to [take away] all the pressure that people put on him. Iām just happy to see him growing and ... becoming, letās say, a grown man.ā

The two shared an emotional exchange during Carlosā speech at the post-match trophy ceremony.
āI have my brother here as well,ā Alcaraz said with tears in his eyes. āItās great to have you here, supporting me every day, to make me be a better person every day, learning from you as well, so thank you very much for being with me.ā

"My brother misunderstood with the machine; he just cut it,ā Carlos explained to reporters, per a clip shared on X. āAnd the only way to fix it is to shave it off ... To be honest, itās not that good. It's not that bad, I guess."
