Clyde is competing in her second Commonwealth Games

Team Northern Ireland's Nicole Clyde booked her place in the women's bantamweight 54kg quarter-finals with a unanimous decision victory over Ghana's Nancy Bamfo at the SEC Centre.

Clyde, who moved up to 54kg for her second appearance at the Games in Glasgow, unanimously won the first and third rounds and edged the second 3-2 on the judges' scorecards.

She will now compete in the quarter-finals on Tuesday at 18:00 BST, aiming to go a step closer to a medal and improve on her performance from four years ago when she exited at the same stage against India's Nitu Ghanghas.

JP Hale will fight in the men's welterweight 65kg round of 16 at 20:30 against England's Patris Mughalzai.
