Aubrey Plaza and Christopher Abbott are gearing up for the birth of their first child together.
In a series of photos, Plaza shows the couple getting and learning to use a new stroller.
The Ingrid Goes West actress also shared a mirror selfie, showing off her baby bump.
Aubrey Plaza is documenting the latest chapter in her pregnancy journey.
The Parks and Recreationstar, who is expecting her first child with boyfriend Christopher Abbott, recently shared a series of candid updates on her Instagram story — including a selfie showing off her bare baby bump.
In a snap posted on July 25, the actress lifts a black tank top to reveal her pregnant stomach. Photographing her reflection in the mirror, Plaza, 42, wears a comically horrified expression as she gazes back at her belly.

The photo was accompanied by a couple more snaps, featuring Abbott and Bambi Baby CEO Enelio Ortega helping the couple put together one of the company’s strollers.
In one of the photos, Ortega appears to be instructing Abbott in turning the stroller into a portable, handheld baby carrier. Meanwhile, Abbott, 40, is diligently recording the instruction. In a later photo, Plaza smiles gratefully alongside Ortega and the new stroller.
“Muchos gracias Enelio for teaching us something,” Plaza captioned one picture.

News of Abbott and Plaza’s relationship broke earlier this year. The pair played creative collaborators who develop a dangerous mutual attraction in the twisty 2020 drama Black Bear, which Plaza co-produced to acclaim when it premiered at Sundance. Three years later, the duo reunited for an even messier love story, portraying the down-and-out souls of Danny and the Deep Blue Sea. The two-person play — an off-Broadway revival of John Patrick Shanley’s raucous romantic drama — ran for three months at New York’s Lucille Lortel Theatre.

Both their relationship and the baby news arrived in April, with a source telling PEOPLE the pregnancy “was a beautiful surprise after an emotional year.”

A few days after the reveal, Plaza confirmed the news on the SmartLess podcast with hosts Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes, and Will Arnett.
“I’ve always wanted to see what that’s all about, you know?” Plaza told the trio of parenting. “It just seems so interesting, that whole thing.”

Plaza first showed off her baby bump while attending the 79th annual Tony Awards last month, alongside Abbott. The actress was photographed cradling her belly in a black-and-white striped gown as she walked the red carpet to celebrate Abbott’s nomination for Best Actor in a Featured Role in a Play for his portrayal of Biff Loman in the Broadway revival of Death of a Salesman.
Plaza’s pregnancy news came more than a year after the death of her filmmaker husband Jeff Baena, who died by suicide in January 2025 and from whom she had been separated at the time.
